@evan13579b Oh, so now you want to discriminate? Everyone needs to be treated equally. Pre-existing conditions do not need to come into play when it comes to a person’s life. Their health needs needs to be taken care of regardless of their condition!!

@floridagrandpa A fetus is not a person until after it is born and it brings in its first breath of air on its own. While the fetus is inside of the woman, it is only an organism. Abortion should be included in Obama’s version of healthcare reform, so that it will allow the woman’s right to choose!!!!

@lildwayne21

Yes he is and it shouldn’t pass, all we need is insurance companies taken over by this illegal president.

MrTabby5000 March 14, 2010 at 6:01 pm

Hey liberals hows your hopey changey doing lately?

MrTabby5000 March 14, 2010 at 6:01 pm

Leave my health insurance alone.

evan13579b March 14, 2010 at 6:01 pm

floridagrandpa:

Bullshism, your local paper in your home town does a poll and you believe that over every national poll done?

evan13579b March 14, 2010 at 6:01 pm

floridagrandpa:

I don’t want to get rid of preexisting conditions. People should pay for their risk. Otherwise the healthy is carrying the sick. There is no reason why healthy people deserve to be punished and given rates they do not deserve.

Giving old people subsidies for existing leads merely to a more inefficient society while at the same time being immoral. Sure you subsidized old people when you were young but two wrongs don’t make a right.

So, contrary to your claim this is a freebee.

floridagrandpa March 14, 2010 at 6:01 pm

groundhog2008 : The local paper in my home town did a survey on passing health care reform by reconciliation. 54% thought that was a good idea while 48% did like it at all. I live in a very purple part of the country which tends to be very much like the whole country. Polls can easily be manipulated. Actually I think in the country a small majority want this reform.

floridagrandpa March 14, 2010 at 6:01 pm

groundhog2008: Genocide is also by your definition birth control. Both kill living human beings because they are inconvenient for others. Health care promotes life not death. What choice does the unborn have in abortion? This is nutty reasoning. Change the word to something that has positive connotation (choice), when you really mean kill, murder.

floridagrandpa March 14, 2010 at 6:01 pm

evan13579b :You are half right and half wrong. The part about lack of competition and the incentive for companies to provide health insurance which dates to WWII are correct. If we want to get rid of preexisting conditions everyone has to be in the pool. Other wise people will only enroll after they are sick. That would bankrupt the health care system. I carried health insurance as a young man knowing I was carrying older workers. But also knowing I would be old one day myself.

I MUST WARN YOU! It is going to get worse before it gets better! Once the National Socialist cabal finally figures out they have lost and their political days are numbered, they will cut loose with the most heinous and hate driven vendetta against Conservatives ever seen in the history of our beloved nation.

TheHonestPolitics March 14, 2010 at 6:01 pm

Vicious and unprecedented! Obama Liberals are brutally crushing anyone under their boot heel who stands in their way. The barbaric Democrat cabal is sacrificing their party members on the altar of Obama-Care. The political hopes and aspirations of good Statesmen are being eviscerated by the ravenous quest for passage of the Frankenstein Health-Care Bill!

Democratic Socialist Progressives have been trying for about 100 years to pass socialized medicine what Lenin called the keystone to the arch of the socialist state.

The Democratic Socialist leadership absolutely dont care if they have to become political martyrs (or steal elections to remain in power), as long as they pass this.

The next 6 to 7 days will be an all out ideological war for the survival of our Constitutional Republic.

groundhog2008:

Polls say you are wrong. Stop lying.

Also, the government is the reason prices are currently high.

evan13579b March 14, 2010 at 6:01 pm

floridagrandpa:

I didn’t say that wasn’t the case. However, you are wrong. Health insurance companies aren’t the problem, the government, has given an undue incentive for companies to buy insurance for their employees and the federal government doesn’t allow interstate competition. Both those things raise prices.

This reform is intended to FORCE people to buy insurance who are healthy in order to rip them off so that others can get lower prices.

That is the governments idea of reform.

groundhog2008 March 14, 2010 at 6:01 pm

@floridagrandpa Abortion is a great birth control tool! Women should be allowed the right to choose!!!!

groundhog2008 March 14, 2010 at 6:01 pm

President Obama, start listening to the American people!! If you cannot get the repubs to go along, then do it with reconcilliation, or by executive order if need be!!!! Americans are dying from lack of health insurance and costs!!!! It is now high time for government intervention!!!!

groundhog2008 March 14, 2010 at 6:01 pm

President Obama, listen to your American people!! We want this bill passed, if by no other means, get it done via reconcilliation. Your healthcare reform bill is the bill we all want!! Please, dont stall any longer!! Pass this bill now. America cannot wait!! People who cannot afford health insurance, needs government intervention…Now!!!!

floridagrandpa March 14, 2010 at 6:01 pm

groundhog2008 : What about religious freedom? Abortion is a abomination to me and many others. Why should I be forced to help pay for killing babies? That is not even health care. If a women wants to do that she should pay for it herself or keep here legs crossed.

floridagrandpa March 14, 2010 at 6:01 pm

evan13579b:Insurance is where people band together to share a common risk so the few that the bad event happens too will not be bankrupt. Health Insurance companies have hijacked this process and perverted it to make a bunch of money for management and shareholders and to hell with the customers. Our health care system is badly in need of reform. This is not about a free ride but a fair ride for all.I think there is a slight majority of us for reform and it is to finally going to get done.
